Pohjois-Ii School,

Our school is located in Ii

Pohjois-Ii School is one of the eight primary schools in Ii, which is a community about 40 kilometers to the north of Oulu. The school lies a hairs breadth from road number 4 and the river Ii which is 3 kilometers to the north of the centre of community.

Our school was founded more than a hundred years ago. It consists of two buildings. Four classes work in our newer building. The older building houses the gym and the woodwork class. In addition, there is a residential building in the schoolyard.

We have 83 pupils and four teachers working in our school. The special needs teacher visits our school three times a week.

School principles

In accordance with our school principles, we emphasize school safety as well as positive action on the part of our staff.

We put great store in maintaining a spirit of community and developing our cooperative skills.

We are an important part of our village community and we try to actively develop connections to other schools and institutions.
