Welcome to year 3
of the
euro-citizens project!

Eury - the euro-citizens mascot.

As planned, Year 3 of our project involved the children and teachers looking at what makes a good citizen, but this year we looked at how we can be responsible citizens in an intenational context.

This year all schools concluded our project with the children and teachers raising money for one or more international charities.

We did this by each school singing a song from an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical called 'Whistle Down the Wind' (lyrics by Jim Steinman) the song is called 'When children rule the World'.

As responsible citizens, we asked for and have received permission to do so from the copyright holders (the Really Useful Group) to whom we offer our heartfelt thanks for their support.

We also made poetry books to share between the six project schools involved. Some schools made extra efforts by making and selling christmas cards and even making food and drink for a café where the local community bought coffee and cakes and the proceeds went to charity.

On each school's page, you'll see all the action from each performance and to which charity it was donated.

As we conclude the final year of our three year project, we would all like to thank our many visitors to our website - you are most welcome to return at any time in the future.

Watch for our next project - Global Citizens!
