Beaupré School

This is our school, Beaupré School, in the village of Outwell, near Wisbech, the town that is the capital of the fens.

The children in Orange class at Beaupré School investigated what it was like to be a citizen in the Fens.

Here the class and Eury Bear are getting ready for some hard work.

First of all the children divided themselves into groups to find out about different aspects of the Fens.

One group decided to look at the history of the Fens and made a Time Line to show what the developments were over the centuries and who were the prime movers in the drainage of the land. A chap called Vermuyden kept cropping up in their research.
