Citizenship project - Year 2

As part of our project this year, we explored what it means to be British. Our Island life, politics, food and culture.

Currency

All over Great Britain people use the same currency, it is divided into pounds and pence.

100 pence (p) = 1 pound (£)

The Queens head appears on all British coins and notes alongside other faces of famous British men and women from the past.

The Queen's head also appears on postage stamps.

You can buy these at the post office when you want to send a parcel or letter.
