Grange Primary School

Year 3 of our euro-citizens project

Our teacher, Mr. Smith helped us over several weeks to rehearse and rehearse - we have a saying "practice makes perfect" we just hope that it's true!

Grange School had three perfomances of the song - it was the 'finishing touch' to all three performances of our christmas concerts, so almost every parent got to hear it.

You can just see Mr. Smith behind the piano - he's playing as we sing "When Children Rule the World"

As well as the three performances in the school concerts, a small group of us went to the City Learning Centre in our home town of Hartlepool, they have a small recording studio there and we though it a good idea that our partner schools in the project heard us at our best!

A photo of us waiting to go into the recording studio

Here you see us waiting excitedly to go into the studio to sing.

We finally get into the studio. It is quite small and soon gets hot! You can see the microphones on the left of the screen as Mr. Smith hands out the sheet music.

One last rehearsal with Mr. Smith conducting and then it's time for the recording.

Here you can see another teacher, Mr. Power, adjusting the recording levels whilst in the background you can see through the triple glazed window panel that Mr. Smith is conducting us whilst we sing.

The children decided that the money raised by their efforts should go to:
